A Sauci Secret!

These would of come in handy at 4am when I lived in my FIFTH FLOOR walk up in NOLITA after being out all night! Back then I had to make sure my bag could hold my Havaianas unless I wanted to do the barefoot thing. YIKES! City Slips are fabulously chic and affordable! They are foldable leather ballet travel flats that fold into a small matching pouch that fits into most handbags and come with an additional satin shoe bag to store heels. Great color selection to choose from!  Silver, Gold, Black, or if you are feeling a bit wild and exotic go with Luxe Leopard.

A Sauci Splurge

I am still lusting over the “change of the guard” Louboutin 6 inch heels!  I feel like if I got the black ones I could tell my better half, “well they are black, they go with most of my wardrobe”   Oh why CL do you have to have a $1700 price tag?!

Fashion Disaster of the Week

I’m pretty sure that the picture sums it up!  PLEASE make sure your dress is longer than your Spanx! Although I have to admit I’m gushing over those shoes

To The Max

The maxi dress continues to be one of the hottest trends this season. It’s a dash of glamour, a dash of boho and lots of fun. I love long dresses for formal occasions, but there’s something daring and dramatic about wearing one for everyday. That’s probably why we spot so many celebs wearing them, from shopping trips to the red carpet. It’s one of the easiest pieces to have in your closets that will take you from day to night. Another reason I love the maxi is you can get away without shaving your legs and you can indulge in a big dinner and not have to worry about rushing home to take the super skinny jeans you squirmed yourself into off.  The maxi is also perfect for a weekend getaway. No matching of tops and bottoms required. All you need is the dress, a fabulous pair of sunnies, some accessories and you are set.

OBSESSED with a LoveStory!

I rushed out a couple of weeks ago and got my hands on the J Brand Love Story denim and I have not taken them off!  They are the perfect denim especially if you are all about the 70’s trend.  I’ve paired them with everything from cotton tanks and a fitted blazer to silk floral tops and wedges.  This style denim is fabulous at elongating your legs and the best part is they hold their shape even though they have a bit of stretch to them.  If there are 1, ok lets be honest,  5 things you have to have as an investment piece in your closet this is defiantly one that I would recommend, so far all my clients love them too Check them out below on actress Devon Aoki and Jessica Alba.

A Sauci Secret

Next time you are out pick up a pair of Foot Petals.  I swear by them!  They are great for anyone who is either on their feet all day in stilettos or for that one pair of  killer stilettos (Literally) that you cringe when you have to wear them.  You will no longer have to suffer for fashion when it comes to your shoes! The best is they come in a variety of colors so you don not have to worry about it taking away from the look of the designer shoe.  Also it is wedding season and for all you soon to be brides this is something that is a MUST HAVE!!!!

PAYING TRIBUTE TO AN ICON

I was so sad to hear that Elizabeth Taylor passed away early this morning due to heart failure.  She will always be recognized as one of the most glamourous, talented, and beautiful woman and who’s contributions to society and film will always be remembered.

Fashionistas of the Week

I was thrilled when I saw that Mary Kate Olsen and Ashley Olsen are award honorees for the 2011 CFDA Fashion Award. The 24 year old fashion icons (yes in my opinion they are fashion icons), The Row, was nominated for the New Talent Award alongside Joseph Altuzarra and Prabal Gurung. They along with other recipients of awards will be honored at the annual CFDA Gala on June 6th.  While attending the announcement party that was held at Diane von Furstenburg’s studio in NYC Mary Kate traded in her  oversized clothing for a chic suited look with blazer and blouse  from The Row paired with black jeans, a Prada bag and a Louis Vuitton shoes.  Ashley looked stunning also wearing their own line in a pale pink suit and Manolo Blanik heels.   I can’t wait to see what they will be wearing June 6th at the awards!

Fashion Disaster of the Week

Chloe Sevigny is one of my favorite care free, quirky and always fashionable actresses. She was discovered at 18 on the street by a fashion editor for Sassy magazine. Impressed by her flair for street fashion, the editors of the progressive teen mag asked Sevigny to intern in their offices which then lead her into modeling. To some, she hailed as the new “it girl” in the 90’s.  Fast forward to 2011 where she has collaborated, for the 3rd time, with Opening Ceremony to launch Chloe Sevigny for Opening Ceremony. The line is filled with florals, polka dots and leopard dresses as well as 50’s styles mens trousers all inspired by her own wardrobe. But even with all of this behind her she fell victim to FASHION DISASTER OF THE WEEK!
